Legacy Preparatory Academy Re-Opening Plan

Hello Parents,

Below you will find a brief description of Legacy Preparatory Academy's re-opening plan.

Let me start by saying that we are attempting to re-open the school in the middle of a pandemic in a way which we are able to deliver meaningful and quality instruction to students, to address the students critical need for social interaction and to take into account our families needs to go back to work and regain a sense of normalcy.  However, the plan we are putting in place first and foremost is intended to protect the health of our teachers.

With that said, Legacy Preparatory Academy will be starting school on August 19, 2020 with a soft opening approach.
Half of our students will attend in the morning (AM) and half of our students will attend in the afternoon (PM).

South Campus hours (Grades K-4) will be: AM 8:10-11:10 and PM 12:30-3:30.
North Campus hours (Grades 5-9) will be: AM 7:55-10:57 and PM 12:15-3:17.

Students will attend school Monday through Thursday with Friday being a distance learning day for all students. Students are also welcome to participate in our distance learning option, should they choose. Please note, if at some point in time you desire your child to move from distance learning to a campus-based education, LPA has the flexibility to accommodate this choice and visa versa.  For more information regarding LPA's distance learning plan Click HERE for Distance Learning Plan  or Click HERE for Parent Check List

Thank you for your patience while our administration and teachers continue working out the details of our re-opening plan.  Please understand that local, state, and national health plans and requirements change often.  We will make adjustments to our plan accordingly.

We love our students and our teachers and will do everything possible to keep us all as healthy as possible, but we will need to work together.  PLEASE follow the Health Department guidelines for hygiene etiquette, staying home and keeping students home when sick, wear a face mask and help us follow the guidelines that students wear face masks, and maintain physical distance.  Together we can keep our students and staff safe.

We will continue to email as new and important information arises.
Stay safe.
Stay healthy.
We will see you next month.
