I LOVE A PARADE!
PARADE T-SHIRT:
- For anyone "participating" in the parade, the school will provide a T-Shirt. Please order your T-Shirt HERE
- TSHIRTS MUST be ordered on or before June 28th, in order to receive the shirts in time for the parade.
- To make sure we are accurate and compliant with the Handcart Days regulations, we will need a headcount.
- Click HERE to fill out a form with the names of who will be participating in the parade.
OTHER IMPORTANT DETAILS
PARTICIPANT MEETING TIME: 7:30 am - 8:00 am at a designated meeting place to be announced at a later date.
PARADE BEGINS: If you will be a spectator, the parade begins at 9:00 am. A map of the parade route is attached. Please pick your children up at the end of the parade. The exact location will be emailed next month.
WHERE: An email will go out to those who sign up to participate on July 15th, with the meeting address.
ATTIRE: Please order an LPA Spiritwear T-shirt designed especially for this parade (link above)
Should you choose not to order a t-shirt and are participating in the parade, please either wear a LEGACY APPROVED spirit wear Wednesday T-Shirt OR a red T-shirt.
HAIR: Hair in a high ponytail, curled, with a red ribbon, if hair is long enough. Otherwise, red white or blue are the preferred colors for hats or head adornment :)
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE? EVERYONE! We invite your whole family to walk with Legacy. Bring a stroller, decorate your bikes, and come be part of something spectacular.
WALK OR RIDE? Decorate your bikes and ride with us. If you have a small child, age 6 and under, feel free to have them sit and/or ride on the flatbed truck (first come first serve) while you walk by them and help keep them safe.
HANDOUTS and TREATS: Our older students (grades 5-9) will be passing out flyers and candy to the crowd. We are not allowed to throw candy.
HOW DO I SIGN UP: Please read through and virtually sign THIS. This will help us keep track of who is coming, and keep things organized.
DO I HAVE TO WALK WITH MY CHILD? As this is our first year, we are playing it safe. If your child is in 4th grade or earlier, they will need someone 16 years or older to walk or ride with them. Feel free to organize with other families and assign one or two parents to a group of children on your own, with the understanding they will be responsible for those children. Children in 5th grade and up are welcome to ride or walk without a parent.
DROP OFF / PICK UP: Meeting and pick-up addresses will be sent out closer to the parade date.
- Bountiful Handcart Days Parade runs 1.8 miles on Main Street.
- Bountiful City allows the saving of spots along the parade route starting at 6:00 AM the day of the parade.
The parade runs north along Bountiful Main Street from 1500 South to 400 North, then turns west and continues to 100 West.
