Weekly Update 9/12/22-9/16/22:
Hello Lions,
Thank you for all you do for your children, and for your constant support of LPA.
This September, our entire student body is focusing on being 'curious to learn', which is the second sentence in our Legacy Paideia. In Latin, the word paideia means community or culture.
We have created this short video showcasing a few of our sixth graders, and our junior high students, not only challenging themselves but receiving incredible payoffs from being curious to learn.
This week!
District-Attendance Awareness Month, K-9 students are making commitments to raise their hands in class, ask questions, recognize that their voice matters, stay connected, and keep learning! Interestingly enough, this goes hand in hand with our September theme, "I am curious to learn".
Absenteeism is a lost opportunity to learn. Did you know that missing just two days a month means a child misses 10% of the school year? Help us keep our students on the right track!
Thank you for helping us instill in your children the importance of attending school every day, being on time for classes, commitment, learning, and having awareness of our school rules to be safe, engaged, respectful, and responsible. It takes a village.

District-Community Corner, Are you curious about our staff? Guess what? We are equally curious about you! We have created this page to get to know our community. Every day, a few of our staff members share their pics and information with Jules Reaveley who updates this page.
PLEASE NOTE: We are curious about our families and would like to schedule a time to interview you and your children. If you are interested in being a part of our Community Corner, please email Jules Reaveley! [email protected]. You may also receive an email from her requesting your participation. This is optional, feel free to say no.
District-Shout-outs, As we head into the next several months of school, LPA would like to thank our parents, and some grandparents, for the volunteer time you have given thus far, and will freely give throughout the remaining months of this school year. We appreciate you and celebrate your willingness to help us create a school atmosphere where our students feel engaged, loved, and safe. Your efforts embody the spirit of what it means to be the change you wish to see in the world.
- Thank you Governing Board for your leadership and support. Your selfless commitment to continue with LPA as a volunteer leader is truly incredible. Where would our school be without the commitment of committee members like you? Thank you so much for continuing in these leadership roles, your contributions have made such a difference in the lives of people in our community. Your generous support is greatly appreciated.
- Thank you PTO Builder’s Committee. The administration has recurring conversations regarding our new wonderful PTO Committee, in short, “the school is better today than it was yesterday, thanks to the efforts they assert”. You are the lifeblood of LPA. Thank you so very much for agreeing to serve on this committee and for being a positive influence on everyone around you. Your commitment makes a difference. You are appreciated.
- Thank you to every single parent and guardian. Volunteers add value to everything they touch, and in our case, our students and staff. “Everybody can be great because anybody can serve. You do not have to have a college degree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” - Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Thank you in advance for the 20 to 40 hours you will dedicate to helping our community, and your children. You are appreciated.
