Special Education Director

Shalon Brierley has been with LPA since March 2014.  She graduated from Brigham Young University in August 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Early Child Education.  She also completed a graduate level endorsement program in Special Education, Mild/Moderate Disabilities.

Upon graduating, Mrs. Brierley accepted a job with the Davis School District as a Special Education teacher.  After nearly fourteen years teaching in an elementary resource setting, she joined LPA as a Special Education teacher.  During the 2014-2015 school year, Mrs. Brierley took on the role of Special Education Director.

She has had a passion for working with and helping students with special needs since her experience in high school as a student assistant for students with severe disabilities. Although currently not teaching, she loves the opportunity she has to continue to impact the lives of students with special needs.

Mrs. Brierley is currently working on a master’s degree in Educational Leadership.  She and her husband have two boys, both of whom attend LPA.  When she manages to find free time, she enjoys baking and decorating cakes, scrapbooking, camping, and playing games with her family. She loves Legacy and is grateful to be a part of this amazing school.
