jessie kidd

BIO

Jessie grew up in Northern Utah, attending Utah State University for her undergraduate degree in Secondary Education and Social Studies. She has four kiddos and a cat, she loves yoga, spinach smoothies, and a curious question. She loves learning and the privilege of working in a school where beautiful examples of learning and growth are noticed every day. She loves that a charter school has a unique opportunity to create a connected and responsive school culture! She loves the culture at Legacy Prep!

Jessie has wanted to be an educator since her eighth-grade year in Mr. Stewart's US History class. He made an impact with the way he engaged his students to learn. He greeted his students at the door of his classroom, helping each of his students to feel important with his kind and caring warmth. He cared about each student in the way he cared about his profession. Every day, Jessie thinks of Mr. Stewart and the opportunity she has to support our teachers to be warm, kind, and engaging. This is her twenty-sixth year in education and still finds opportunities for new learning. She looks forward to doing good work with Legacy Prep and hopes she can be trusted with our junior high community's feedback
