Become A Governing Board Member
The Legacy Preparatory Academy Governing Board has several vacant Board seats.
If you are interested in serving on the LPA Governing Goard and would like to be considered for an appointment, please review the document below carefully then return the requested application materials to [email protected]. Applicants who express interest will be invited to a short interview with current board members.
The responsibility of Board members is to set the vision and goals for the school. Board members are expected to participate in the development of policy and major decision-making at Board meetings, which are held at least monthly. Board members are also expected to be active within Board committees, attend periodic training meetings, and uphold the fiduciary responsibilities of the school. Board members may expect to contribute 5-10 hours to the position in a typical month. Board members will be appointed to a 3-year term.
LPA Board members need not be personally associated with an LPA student. If you know of someone outside the immediate LPA community who would bring special skills, knowledge, or experience that would benefit the board and think they may be interested in this opportunity, please forward this invitation link.
We are committed to recruiting candidates regardless of race, color, ancestry, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age, citizenship, marital status, disability, gender identity, or Veteran status.
If you have any questions about the application materials or about serving on the board generally, please contact the board president, Al Pranno, by emailing [email protected].
