Important Notice: Upcoming Lockdown Drill

We want to inform you about an upcoming lockdown drill that will be conducted in partnership with the Woods Cross Police Department later this month. The safety and security of our students and staff are our top priorities, and these drills are crucial for ensuring preparedness in the event of an emergency.

During the drill, students and staff will practice the procedures for responding to a potential threat inside the school. This includes locking classroom doors, turning off lights, and remaining quiet and out of sight until the "all clear" is given. The drill will be brief and will not disrupt the normal school day more than necessary.

As part of the drill, there will be officers and patrol vehicles at the school. Please be assured that this is purely for the purpose of the drill, and there is no threat to the safety of our students or staff. The presence of law enforcement personnel is standard procedure for drills of this nature and is intended to support and train administration.

Additionally, we want to remind you that this is a great time to review and update your emergency contact information in Aspire. Accurate and up-to-date contact information is essential for us to quickly and effectively communicate with you in the event of an emergency and is an essential part of our reunification plan.

We want to assure you that every effort will be made to conduct the drill in a way that minimizes anxiety and ensures a positive learning environment.

If you have any questions about the upcoming drill or need assistance updating your emergency contact information in Aspire, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety of our school community.

Sincerely,

Legacy Preparatory Academy Administration
