Dear Parents,
We are so excited for students to return to school on August 19th. We know this year brings many questions and unknowns and truly appreciate the patience and flexibility of our school community. We know there have been many questions about what school will look like. In an attempt to help parents better understand we are sending a copy of our Blended Learning Plan and our Distance Learning Plan. Our Blended Learning Plan is for students who are attending either the AM or PM schedule in-person and completing work at home. Our Distance Learning Plan is for students who are participating in our completely online option. These plans offer general guidelines. In addition, each teacher will communicate assignments, due dates, and instructions through OTUS or Canvas. All virtual lessons, at this time, will be completed using Zoom.
Each parent who has requested information throughout the summer will receive an individual email asking for a final decision by August 10th. While our plans are flexible, and students can move between the two models, we would like to know how many are starting as distance learners. If you do not receive an email and have decided you would like to start with the distance learning plan please email the respective school principal, Priscilla Stringfellow (5th-9th grade) pstringfellow@legacyprep.org or Karen Holman (K-4th) [email protected].
Lastly, we are so grateful for the wonderful attitude and support from our parents. You have been amazing! Thank you for keeping your children positive about returning to school and training them to wear a mask. We know this hasn't been easy for anyone.
