Announcement Regarding Vision Screening
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Legacy Preparatory Academy has decided to postpone or cancel vision screenings for the school year 2020/2021 to support student and staff safety.
We have asked the teachers to notify the front office if they notice a student who is struggling to read or to see the board. The office will contact the parent at that time to ask permission to test their child. If the student does not pass the exam we will send the parent/guardian a letter with results and request they see a professional. If the child passes the exam we will follow up with an email to the parent that their child passed the eye chart exam. Keep in mind we only do screening for distance.
If you know your child is having problems with their vision and you are unable to afford the eye exam or glasses, we have resources that are happy to help at a lower cost or no cost at all.
