Legacy Preparatory Academy is excited to present Disney’s The Lion King Kids this fall! Auditions for the 3rd and 4th-grade musical will be held on Tuesday, August 29th from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Building 2 Auditorium.
Students interested in auditioning for the musical should plan to attend the audition clinic on Monday, August 28th at 3:00 pm in the Building 2 Auditorium. Come learn the audition dance and what to expect during auditions.
IMPORTANT DATES & INFORMATION
AUDITION CLINIC | Monday, August 28th, 3-4 PM in the Building 2 Auditorium
Come learn the audition dance and meet the other actors who are auditioning for the play! Please wear tennis shoes and clothes that you can dance in.
AUDITIONS | Tuesday, August 29th, 4-7 PM in the Building 2 Auditorium
Auditions will run in 15-minute increments, with 5 students auditioning at a time. Please sign up for an audition time HERE.
Your student is expected to have a 30-second - 1-minute song prepared from a musical. They need to bring their own karaoke track to sing to. This means there can be no one else singing on the track, just the instrumentals.
Please have them bring an 8x10 Headshot, their signed Audition Form, and Conflict Calendar. Conflicts not listed on the conflict calendar may not be honored and will count toward the 3 unexcused absences.
CALLBACKS | Thursday, August 31st, 3-5 PM in the Building 2 Auditorium
A callback list will be sent out by Wednesday afternoon with music and parts for them to practice for callbacks. Please note: If your student is called back for a certain role, that does not mean they are not being considered for other roles in the play.
PARENT MEETING | Tuesday, September 5th, 5:00 PM in the Building 2 Auditorium
This meeting will give you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the play. We will go over rehearsal expectations and what you can expect as a parent. This will also be a great opportunity for you to let me know if you have any skills you would like to volunteer for our production.
REHEARSALS
Rehearsals will be held after school on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM. As we near the end of our production, please note our Tech & Dress rehearsals on the Production Calendar.

There is a $75 fee to participate in the school musical. Please contact Ms. Reese with any questions about fees & fee waivers.
