Just like our expectations for your children, we expect everyone within the Legacy Prep community to act in a responsible, respectful, and safe manner. If we each do our small part, we can have a safe and efficient carline where everyone exits happily! For additional information on our carpool procedures or to review a carpool map, please review our website.
When entering the parking lot for carpool:
The outside (right) lane is for:
Building 2 Junior High, main entrance
Building 1 Elementary, Leonardo/field entrance
The inside (left) lane is for:
Building 1 Elementary, main entrance
Some helpful hints to aid in the efficiency of carpool:
- Assume positive intent – If someone is not following the rules, perhaps they are new to our carline and just need a friendly reminder, like this email.
- Take turns at the entrance to the lot, this includes those who are entering through the East entrance. One car at a time like a zipper.
- The right lane must turn right toward the field – the right lane will exit the school via the back of the building
- Pull up to the crosswalk before stopping and allowing your students to exit the vehicle
- Have your students ready to exit the car as soon as your vehicle stops
- Students should exit the vehicle on the side closest to the building
- Please DO NOT exit your vehicle during carpool.
- If you need to exit your vehicle for any reason, please park in one of the available parking spots.
- Remember parking in the fire lane or in the handicapped stalls without a permit is prohibited, even if just for a few minutes.
- Please cross only at the designated crosswalks.
- NO LEFT TURN when exiting the lot.
- If you wish to exit using the new road please turn right when exiting the school and take a left turn at 2285 South, about a block south of the campus
- Students and parents should only cross the parking lot in the approved spots. This keeps everyone safe!
- Show respect to our neighbors
- Do not park in the All-Filters parking lot – They have asked nicely many times
- Do not block the driveways of our very patient neighbors in the adjoining neighborhood
- Talk to your children about not touching anything that does not belong to them
