Legacy Preparatory Academy was founded on the premise that a strong school community is built upon the contributions of its families. It’s a term the ancient Greeks called paideia (pronounced pie - day - a), which simply means the culture of a community, or more specifically, the ideal rearing and education of a person is to help them to become a contributing member of society. The Legacy Paideia becomes stronger and our entire community becomes more united through this important service.
What is the focus of the Builders Group?
The Builders group is all about building a stronger community through parent/family involvement. We aim to:
- Support School Events: Help plan and execute school community-building activities and events.
- Share Expertise: Utilize our collective skills and expertise to offer support in areas such as tutoring, mentoring, and special projects.
- Enhance Communication: Volunteer as Classroom Managers to aid Teachers and Administration with parent communication. Provide feedback to Teachers and Administration regarding community events and special projects.
- Foster a Sense of Belonging: Create an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for all families, where every voice is heard and valued.
How Can You Get Involved?
We invite all parents, guardians, and caregivers to become a part of the Legacy Prep Builders volunteer group. Whether you have time to give each week or just a few hours here and there, your contributions BUILD our school! Here's how you can get involved:
- Attend one of our monthly meetings. Meetings are typically held the first Friday of each month from 8:00-9:00 a.m. to learn about upcoming events where you can volunteer for specific projects or committees that align with your interests and availability.
